About me
I have lived in the Pittsburgh suburbs essentially all my life. My résumé is listed below, but in addition to formal and self-education, I've undergone something of a personal transformation the last few years. I was always interested in health, but only on a superficial level. I thought eating a balanced diet and exercising routinely were enough. I didn't understand the deeper meaning behind being healthy, as outlined in the description on our philosophy page. It was the trial and error of dealing with recurring issues that prompted me to go deeper than nutrition and physical training...

Crohn's fare ups, IBS, difficulty sleeping, trouble maintaining weight, acne, and frequent colds were some of the symptoms I experienced by not integrating a holistic plan that prioritizes natural living, and treats mental, emotional, and spiritual health as equal partners to physical. That's what holistic wellness means, and every person has their own individual path to get there.
Several years ago, I decided to take control of the situation... to find my path. As Hippocrates said, "natural forces within us are the true healers of disease." This is one of the most sagely quotes in all of medicine, and was a guiding light on my healing journey.
Intimately related to the idea of self-healing are the principles of Naturalism, Bio-individuality, and Intuitive Living. Following these three concepts will create the internal environment necessary for our bodies to heal, fulfilling Hippocrates' proclamation. I used these fundamental principles on myself, and stress them with my clients.

Recovering from a long-standing health issue is a daunting task, and personal experience in that endeavor inspired our slogan: "Vincere Montem." This translates from Latin as "Conquer Your Mountain," an appropriate mission statement for the chronically infirmed.

Speaking of slogans, my health coaching certification is from the Integrative Health Practitioner Institute. Theirs is "Heal Yourself, Heal Others." Does that sound familiar?

Now that I've gone through the process, I'd be honored to help you with yours.
If you have a similar story and just can't seem to get ahead of a particular issue, please reach out. I'd love to help you Conquer Your Mountain.
